Due to a less than expected number of entries, the local nonprofit Artists Unite has extended its deadline for local artists who want to contribute to its Subway Elevator Poster Project. Artists now have until March 19 to submit their work for the exhibition, which starts in April. It’s the second phase of the project – work from Community District 12 artists is displayed in poster form in the W. 181st Street and W. 190th Street A-train station elevators.

Police have arrested the man they believe killed a 43-year-old woman in the Richard F. Sayler House, a supportive housing project on W. 165th Street. The victim, who was not identified, went missing over the Feb. 27 weekend.
